RECENT FRIENDS SUPPORT FOR THE PENFIELD PUBLIC LIBRARY 1977 - FRIENDS of the PPL was started. 1991 - We gave $8100, $1894 for library programs, $2990 for a fax machine, $866 for the 50th anniversary. 1992 - We gave $11,000, $695 for library programs, $8695 for a Minolta reader-printer. 1993 - We gave $13,600, $1864 for library programs and materials, $9467 for a Xerox book copier. 1994 - We gave $17,800, $4227 for library programs and materials, $5739 for a 486 PC/CD ROM/Laser Printer and data base, $5870 for Aid for Disabled Americans items. 1995 - We gave $12,400, $3267 for library programs and materials, $2069 for the 10th Anniv. Celebration, $4725 for computer equipment and software for patron use. 1996 - We gave $25,200, $20,003 for a LAN for public use, $5046 for library programs and materials,. 1997 - We gave $19,200, $14,362 for a wide area network and other computer items, $4,110 for library programs. 1998 - We gave $32,800, $8,000 for computer items, $6,550 for library programs, $2,250 for misc. items, and $16,000 for after the library expansion. 1999 - We gave $41,460, $9,000 for computer items, $6,600 for library programs, $25,860 for misc. items 2002 - We gave over $20,000 for programs, computers, electric scooter and library furniture 2003- We gave $40,000 to set up a wireless computer lab and buy other equipment 2004- We provided the library with wireless Internet access through the Hotspot. 2005- We provided all the funding for extensive programming in March Into Arts. |
